Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Expertise in containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash, and configuration management tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with in-flight connectivity (IFC) systems or similar technologies
• Familiarity with satellite communication protocols and standards
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for cloud-based systems
• Certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps practices

Job Description

The DevSecOps Specialist is responsible for managing the cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for TCI's In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) software solutions. This role requires a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and software development practices. The DevSecOps Specialist will work collaboratively with software engineers and system engineers to ensure seamless and efficient deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the IFC software in a cloud-native environment.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

o   Design, implement, and manage the cloud infrastructure for the IFC software, leveraging cloud-native technologies and architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

o   Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the cloud infrastructure, implementing appropriate monitoring and alerting mechanisms.

o   Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management.

Deployment Automation:

o   Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines for the MODMAN software and the Ground-Based Monitoring and Control software.

o   Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

o   Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices to streamline software releases and updates.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

o   Monitor the health and performance of the IFC software in the cloud environment, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

o   Implement logging and monitoring solutions to collect and analyze system logs and metrics.

o   Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates, security patches, and system backups.

Collaboration and Support:

o   Collaborate with software engineers and system engineers to ensure smooth integration and deployment of the IFC software.

o   Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.

o   Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
